Kristi Baker joined the Betty H. Cameron Women's & Children's Hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina as its Administrator in March, 2019. NHRMC Betty H. Cameron Women's & Children's Hospital, located on New Hanover Regional Medical Center's main campus is a 195,000-square-foot facility offering expert women’s and children’s care including obstetrical care for routine and high-risk deliveries. Other services include the state’s only all-private-room neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) that cares for babies born prematurely or critically ill and the only pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and pediatric surgery program in the region. Comprehensive pediatric subspecialty care is provided through the Nunnelee Pediatric Specialty Clinic.Kristi was previously an Administrative Director for the Department of Pediatrics with Children's Mercy Kansas City. In her 11+ years there, she held a variety of roles including Administrative Director for the Department of Pediatrics, where she provided senior level multi-departmental leadership in all aspects of planning, strategy and administration. She also spent several years in Strategic Planning, first as an Analyst later as Strategic Planning Manager.Kristi grew up in Oklahoma and is an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and her Master’s Degree from the University of Kansas.
