Kristine Kirstein is the Director of Academic Integration for Johns Hopkins University at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Prior to joining JHU, she worked at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. Kristine has spent over a decade leading teams to transition Johns Hopkins All Children’s from a pediatric community hospital to a pediatric academic health system. She currently supports clinical, education and research programs and faculty within thirteen divisions spanning multiple departments (including pediatrics) and provides administrative oversight to the Office of Medical Education and Simulation Center. She oversees and executes external academic affiliations and holds a Lean Sigma green belt certification from the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality at Johns Hopkins Medicine. Kristine received both her master’s degree in health administration and her bachelor’s degree in telecommunications at the University of Florida. She lives in St. Petersburg, Florida with her husband and three boys, Kooper (5), Konner (3) and Kameron (newborn). Kristine has been an active AAAP member since 2020 and has really enjoyed working on the cFTE committee within AAAP.
