Provide senior level departmental leadership in all aspects of finance, planning, strategy and administration. For the Department of Pediatrics there is responsibility to/for: a. All finance related operational activities including the development of new programs and processes b. Development and oversight of annual revenue and expense budgets c. Financial reporting and dashboards d.. Goal setting and leadership to achieve the goals e. Be the liaison between the Department of Pediatrics and finance areas of Children’s Mercy f. Create new program(s) which ensure Children’s Mercy remains a leader in provisioning health care to children. In partnership with the Department of Pediatrics Senior Department Administrator, this position has responsibility to provide expectations, leadership, training, resource systems and accountability for establishing department faculty and staff engagement and communication opportunities. Additionally, will provide support for the development of infrastructure and initiatives, including processes and systems that support faculty and staff engagement in the Department of Pediatrics. Also serves as a key liaison between faculty and staff in the Department of Pediatrics and division level leaders. The Administrative Director of Finance provides direction as well as formal organizational accountability for division level leaders and other non-physician staff in accordance with the policies of the hospital and medical staff. This includes the overall planning, design, coordination, direction, and budgetary management of services.
