The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Practice Association (CHOPPA) is seeking candidates for the newly created role of AVP Revenue Cycle & Business Operations. This role will report directly to the CFO, CHOPPA.

The AVP Revenue Cycle & Business Operations for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Practice Association (CHOPPA), is a critical leadership position within the Physician Organization. This role is responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial direction and oversight of the revenue cycle in CHOPPA.

She/he will provide leadership for process and technology improvements, financial stewardship and key revenue cycle initiatives. This role is also responsible for implementing a new operational model to transform and streamline business processes. The role will partner with clinical and administrative leaders across the practices to optimize operational performance and results.

Key responsibilities include:

·       Provides strategic leadership within the revenue cycle function to improve performance, reduce and prevent denials, promptly resolve problems, address challenges and benefit from opportunities.

·       Ensures continued process improvement strategies and efficiencies through development of principles, tools, and techniques throughout the revenue cycle, and in implementing a new operational model.

·       Represents CHOPPA in managed care contract negotiations, driving payor arrangements that align with CHOPPA and enterprise strategy and goals.

·       Analyzes and reviews the accuracy and appropriateness of contractual adjustments, payments and denials to ensure contract adherence to payor contracts.

Education and Credentials

·       Bachelor’s Degree Accounting, finance, or related field. Required

·       Master’s Degree Preferred

Experience

·       At least ten (10) years in patient financial services, including comprehensive responsibility for both financial back-end functions. Required

·       At least ten (10) years of leadership experience in a medical center environment. Required

·       At least ten (10) years of demonstrated experience leading large-scale change and the change management and communications associated with this. Required

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EPIC, and third-party and Federal regulatory guidelines (Required proficiency)

·       Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (Required proficiency)

·       Must be able to operate effectively from the Executive Level to the front line and to translate strategic objectives into effective implementation (Required proficiency)
