The Assistant Administrator for Patient Care is an integral part of the Arkansas Children’s Triad Leadership team and works closely with Service/Section Chief(s) and ACH director(s) to support the missions and visions of UAMS and Arkansas Children’s, jointly set and ensure strategic direction of the Section. Facilitates patient and family centered care including patient satisfaction through dissemination of data from, and sharing data in support of Arkansas Children’s scorecard in accordance with AC and UAMS policies. Facilitates research and educational strategic missions and initiatives. The Assistant Administrator for Patient Care directs UAMS administrative and financial responsibilities for identified sections. Serves as the primary liaison to centralized campus functions such as human resources and revenue cycle management. The Assistant Administrator for Patient Care is responsible for fostering provider relationships and ensuring all provider activities including patient schedules, operations, patient volumes and other activities are maximized through collaboration with ACH leadership. The role of the Assistant Administrator for Patient Care is to provide leadership and facilitate horizontal collaboration, communication and to fully support interdisciplinary and team performance.

The Assistant Administrator for Patient Care manages human resources, finance and budgeting, and section operations. Uses judgment and experience to apply an advanced knowledge, skills, methods, and practices, conducts analysis and problem-solving to plan and prioritize a varied workload that involves developing solutions to emergent issues, time-sensitive and/or confidential projects, and complex problems. The Assistant Administrator for Patient Care collaborates with the Section Chief and ACH leadership to develop provider workforce plans, JFR’s and recruitment strategies.
